Katia Badalian

Multitalented Russian New Yorker, based in LA.

If speaking about photography time doesn’t really exist when I’m working with the person who’s in front of me. I don’t like polishing people’s faces and making them “perfect” simply because that covers the true features of their personality.

Why kill it?

Why be like everyone else?

Be you.

You’re beautiful.

Katia is a Russian/American female film Director/Visual Creator and Production Designer, raised in New York and Moscow.

In 2012, Katia received a Bachelors Degree in Acting and Directing from the Russian Academy of Theater Art’s (GITIS).

In 2015, Katia debuted Eyes Closed, a verbatim, off-broadway show about New Yorkers and their sleeping dreams. Katia premiered Eyes Closed at Dixon Place Theater and led a successful Kickstarter campaign raising $20k to fund the show.

Currently is based out of Los Angeles where she mostly works in production.

Katia recently wrapped her first short film HEROINES. It has premiered in Montana Film Festival in 2018 and is an official selection for SXSW’19.
